About This Series:
This artwork is inspired by cast shadows of flowers and greenery.
I began the Delightful series by capturing the cast shadows on paper, then used oil pastel and different monotype techniques to recreate the flowers and greenery in my style while focusing on the subject's silhouette. I find so much beauty in the positive and negative shapes of the flowers and greenery.
My intention with this series is to aid the viewer to look differently at flowers and greenery by focusing on the subject's contours. I hope the overall mood in this series is delightful as viewers discover the beauty in contours.
